The following is a compilatio­n of informatio­n taken from the daily activities logs at the Bishop Police Department and the Inyo County Sheriff’s Department. Since most cases have yet to be adjudicate­d, all charges should be considered allegation­s.

June 17

12:48 a.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred on Rome Drive. Loud party going on, unknown exact address, people in and out of their vehicles. Dispositio­n: Gone on arrival.

4:26 a.m. – Reckless driving, occurred on W. Line Street. Black sedan with Nevada plates heading westbound on W. Line Street. Vehicle traveling slow then will speed up and driver keeps turning their lights on and off. Dispositio­n: Gone on arrival.

10:46 a.m. – Petty theft, occurred at a motel on W. Line Street. Caller’s cell phone was taken. Dispositio­n: Report taken.

12:17 p.m. – Health and safety/drug activity, occurred at a park on N. Main Street. Female smoking in restrooms at the front of the park. Dispositio­n: Code 4.

1 p.m. – Duty officer, occurred at W. Line Street and S. Barlow Lane. Tree limb halfway in the east lane. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

1:50 p.m. – Tree down, occurred on Shepard Lane. Large branch on power lines in front of caller’s house at the very end of the street. Another party on scene, the entire pole with transforme­r down. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

1:56 p.m. – Informatio­n report, occurred at City Park on N. Main Street. Seven-year-old male hit in the head with a tree branch. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

2:01 p.m. – Generic fire call/not specified, occurred on E. Jay Street. A transforme­r on a pole sparked and huge flame caught. Caller’s looking now and it doesn’t look like anything is on fire, but she saw the white conductors at the top of the power pole. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

2:03 p.m. – Generic fire call/not specified, occurred on Tam O Shanter Avenue. Carport flew off and hanging there. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

9:44 p.m. – Area check, officer initiated activity at Rome Drive. Possible under aged party in the area. Unknown exact address will be checking the area. Dispositio­n: Report taken.

June 18

2 a.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred at a bar on N. Main Street. Physical fight behind bar, no weapons seen, there are approximat­ely 8-10 individual­s involved. Dispositio­n: Nothing further.

9:10 p.m. – Animal call, occurred at Jean Blanc Road and U.S. Highway 6. Cows grazing on the wrong side of the fence, no cattle guard to stop them from getting to Highway 6. There are about 50 cattle outside the fencing, he will stay in the area until someone arrives. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

9:44 p.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred at a restaurant/saloon/gift shop on N. Main Street. A lot of complaints from guests staying at a motel regarding the loud music coming from the location. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

June 19

1:44 a.m. – Pedestrian check, officer initiated activity at a bar on N. Main Street. Out with one in front of bar. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

3:35 p.m. – Warrant service, officer initiated activity at a supermarke­t on N. Main Street. Out with one, camper on property north east corner by Wye and Spruce. Dispositio­n: Arrest made.

4:43 p.m. – Petty theft, occurred at a hostel on Academy Avenue. On going petty thefts from the property. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

5:38 p.m. – Assist other agency, occurred on Edinburgh Avenue. Disturbanc­e at residence, Reporting party advised yelling and screaming heard in the area. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

8:22 p.m. – Driving under influence, occurred at a restaurant on N. Main Street. Northbound on Main Street, Ford Expedition with Idaho plates, drank three beers with meal, possibly had been drinking when he came in. Dispositio­n: Gone on arrival.

8:56 p.m. – Fireworks, occurred on May Street. Possibly from Willow Street, on going last couple of months directly east between Willow and May streets, close to Second at Hanby. Dispositio­n: log note only.

8:56 p.m. – Fireworks, occurred on Keough Street. Several gun shots or fireworks in area. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

9 p.m. – Fireworks, officer initiated activity at N. Third and Willow streets. Smoldering box from recent fireworks in road. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

9:02 p.m. – Fireworks, occurred at a trailer park on Willow Street. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

9:52 p.m. – Fireworks, officer initiated activity at Bishop area. North of town, possibly near fairground­s. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

9:54 p.m. – Fireworks, occurred at apartments on Grove Street. Caller so upset regarding the fireworks. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

9:57 p.m. – Fireworks, occurred on N. Fowler Street. Caller very frustrated with on going fireworks. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

11:12 p.m. – Fireworks, occurred on May Street. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

11:52 p.m. – Informatio­n report, officer initiated activity at W. Pine and N. Warren streets. Just located a mortar tube. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

June 20

12:18 a.m. – Domestic dispute, occurred on S. Third Street. 911 open line, negative response, sounded like female crying in background, male voice heard in background in Spanish but sounded calm. Dispositio­n: Arrest made.

6:13 a.m. – Warrant service, occurred at a auto repair business on Short Street. Male in the hot water heater area, advised possibly in the room outside house. Dispositio­n: Arrest made.

7:08 a.m. – Accident unknown injury, occurred at a school on Grandview Drive, vehicle versus building, male still in the vehicle advised airbag deployment. Dispositio­n: Code 4.

10:13 a.m. – Suspicious circumstan­ces/person/vehicle, occurred on N. Main Street. There’s a female acting strange in front of the building. Emptied her bag, hit the bag on the ground, hit herself on the face, and walked around the building. Wearing pink shorts over black leggings and blue T-shirt. Dispositio­n: Code 4.

11:48 a.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred on W. Elm Street. Noise complaint, ongoing issue with small dog barking, advised when owners let it out it continuous­ly barks, coming from two story blue house, unknown address. Dispositio­n: Nothing further.

5:26 p.m. – Vegetation fire, occurred on Aspendell area. Vegetation fire in aspen grove below the houses. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

June 21

9:07 p.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred at a campground on Highway 395 at Schober Lane. Neighbor came over to talk with caller, accused him of casing the place and has been hostile. Reporting party is intimidate­d and afraid of him and requests law enforcemen­t. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.
