YOUTH BASKETBALL CAMP Registration is open for the city of Bishop Youth Basketball camp coordinated by coach Jeff Kilgore to be held from July 11 - July 14, 2:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Bishop Union High School West Gym; $50 per child, includes snacks, T-shirt and dinner on Thursday evening. The camp will feature coach Chris Klekas, who was been coaching for more than 30 years and has taken his teams to the Nevada State Championships. NIH GIFT SHOP The Northern Inyo Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop, in the lobby of the hospital, is now open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from noon to 4 p.m. The shop carries a wonderful selection of baby clothes and accessories, unique gifts and is the only place in town that sells See’s Candy. The shop accepts credit cards.

BIG PINE FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION Big Pine will be holding a good old-fashioned family community barbecue picnic from 2 - 5 p.m. at Mendenhall Park on Baker and School streets. The menu includes tri-tip, beans, green salad, potato salad, carrot/raisin salad, garlic bread, cake and drinks for $12 adults; children 5-12 $6.;and children under 5 free.
