Perfect, spiritual and divine

- By Rev. Dr. Walt Sharer

The title of this article is about me and about you. Each of us is Perfect, Spiritual, and Divine, even if we don’t know it, but that is the knowledge that has been missing in our endeavor to have a wonderful, successful, enriching life experience. So many religions, doctrines, and creeds tell us we are flawed from the get-go, and we need them to even hope for a relief from our own treachery. Nothing could be farther from the truth. As a matter of fact, if we are perfect, their teachi8ngs don’t work. No one had to die so we could be redeemed, let alone a beautiful and loving man. God is no angry or even hostile toward us. Well, it is true that we have been mostly ignorant of our true identity but we have time to learn.

I think we can all agree that God is Perfect, Spiritual, and Divine. According to the first Book of the Bible,

Genesis 1:26, God created man in his own image and after his likeness. Perfect God does not create imperfect man. Perfection creates perfection. Jesus told us that God was a Spirit, and since spirit defines the life energy, we are also spiritual. Of course, the image and likeness stuff means we have the same nature as God, hence the Divinity. Its all pretty simple as

Sherlock Holes was oft to say, “Elementary.”

So how does this all work? God created man and everything else out of Himself. Since before creation there was nothing but God. Sounds pretty far-fetched if you ask me, but we are working from Biblical accounts. One thing we had better clear up. God did not create a race of automatons. Each of us is a free thinker and think, we do. We are free to think what we wish, however, we must bear in mind that our thoughts set in motion the wheels of creation. Earnest Holmes said, “Thoughts are things.” Actually, thoughts are the causes of things. It goes to show that thinking good thoughts brings good things and thinking bad thoughts brings bad results. It can’t get any simpler, but we have not been taught to work with our thoughts. That is where New Thought teaching comes in.

We can worry ourselves sick, compound our life with false guilts, or hope to win the lottery, but stinking thinking will not win the day. Because we each have free thinking, we can purposely choose our thoughts and release those that do us no good. We can affirm the Truth about us and welk the paths of our desire. The only catch is that me, myself, and I have to do the work. We each have a personal relationship with God. God as you, within you, is you. Start the creation of your desired life right now. Think the thoughts of it and keep any doubts out of it.

Say to yourself, “The Word of God is the creative power of the Universe. God id Perfect, Spiritual, and Divine and His creation is Perfect, Spiritual, and Divine. Love guides and directs God’s creation and I choose love to be the power behind my creative thoughts. I reject limitation, lack or loss and embrace the good. I maintain my thoughts of good, better, and best. With God at the center of my being, there are no limits placed upon me. I rejoice and am glad to live a life of peace and love. It let it be so, for so it is.” God is Love and Loving You Right Now!
