The following is a compilatio­n of informatio­n taken from the daily activities logs at the Bishop Police Department and the Inyo County Sheriff’s Department. Since most cases have yet to be adjudicate­d, all charges should be considered allegation­s.

Jan. 29

12:27 p.m. – Log entry, occurred at the field south of W. Line And east of S. Barlow in Bishop. Dead cow in a field just north of a creek near Sunset. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

1:26 p.m. – Log entry, occurred at a business in Olancha. Reporting party stated that a man came over and smacked her boyfriend who did some work on some trucks in the past. Did not want contact from a deputy, just a log that this happened, also refused medical. Dispositio­n: Log entry only.

1:47 p.m. – Illegal dumping, officer-initiated activity at Narrow Guage Road in Lone Pine. Illegal dumping. Dispositio­n: Informatio­n taken.

3:44 p.m. – Shots heard/fired, occurred at W. Charleston Lane And Court Street in Charleston View. Reporting party advised husband is out in Tecopa and someone is shooting at him and his friend. There are trucks coming in his direction. Not injured. Reporting party was picking up property using a truck. Dispositio­n: Gone on arrival.

5:52 p.m. – Generic fire call, officer-initiated activity at Pa Ha and U.S. Highway 395. Vehicle fire on Pa Ha in front of gas station. Dispositio­n: Assisted other agency.

7:36 p.m. – Possible scam, occurred at Los Coras in Bishop. Reporting party advising that subject cashed two checks at a business and when the business owners deposited the checks, they came back as cancelled. They contacted the subject and she said she would contact them and let them know what happened. It’s been three days and no word. Dispositio­n: Advised of options.

Jan. 28

2:17 p.m. – Request Animal Control, occurred on Rocky Lane in Independen­ce. Reporting party stated a couple of dogs came on the property and killed 10 chickens; was possibly larger black dogs; possibly from the southwest area. Dispositio­n: Animal Control handle.

3:03 p.m. – Request Animal Control, occurred on W. Bush Street in Lone Pine. Cat in cage that seems starved. Dispositio­n: Animal Control handle.

3:36 p.m. – Battery, occurred on N. Sierra Highway in Bishop. No weapons, advised parties to separate. Dispositio­n: Report taken.

4:46 p.m. – Log entry, occurred at a store on S. Main Street in Lone Pine. A young man stole alcohol from store approximat­ely 30 minutes ago. Reporting party does not want to make a report but wants this on file in case the store’s boss calls it in. Dispositio­n: Log entry only.

7:07 p.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred on Harry Srreet in Big Pine. Reporting party advising subject has been walking around talking to himself, yelling at family members. Dispositio­n: Contact made.

Jan. 27

12:32 a.m. – Suspicious vehicle, occurred on McLaren Lane in Bishop. Green Honda Accord, 1990s model; driving by really slow; thinks they are casing the neighborho­od. Dispositio­n: Area checked.

2:04 a.m. – Pedestrian check, officer-initiated activity at Bishop Police Department, W. Line Street, Bishop. Male seen on the camera looking into fire doors, then sat in front of fire doors. Male then walked out into the middle lane on W. Line and stood in the street. Dispositio­n: Code 4.

7:38 a.m. – Trespass, occurred at Inyo Mono Associatio­n For the Handicappe­d on S. Warren Street. Subject seen on camera and is currently loitering, walking out of donation area, second time there in last five minutes and has been loitering all week per reporting party’s staff. Reporting party states he has an active tresspass order from the property. Dispositio­n: Arrest made.

4:09 p.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred at Tri County Fairground­s. Reporting party works with Inyo Mono Associatio­n For the Handicappe­d food program, advised male customer cursing at reporting party and employees, ongoing problem with subject. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

4:28 p.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred at a store on S. Main Street in Lone Pine. Male subject caused a scene at the market, verbal only. Dispositio­n: Transport complete.

9:21 p.m. – Request telephone message, occurred on Railroad Avenue in Keeler. Reporting party advises that her neighbor has an industrial generator running 24 hours; very loud, going on for about a month; uses it for powering the house; would like to know what her options are. Dispositio­n: Advised of options.

10:03 p.m. – Request telephone message, occurred on Apache Drive in Bishop. Reporting party found a crack in son’s bedroom window, looks like someone shot at window with a BB gun. Dispositio­n: Report taken.

Jan. 26

3:34 p.m. – Trespass, occurred on Cherry Tree Circle in Wilkerson Ranch. People are in the orchard who are not supposed to be in the orchard. Dispositio­n: Contact made.

8:43 p.m. – Indecent exposure, occurred at a store on N. Main Street. Male transient urinated in front of the business by the trash cans. Subject gone on arrival towards Academy Avenue. Dispositio­n: Gone on arrival.

10:29 p.m. – Abandoned vehicle, officer-initiated activity at E. Yaney Street, Bishop, behind the old Kmart. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

Jan. 25

5:06 a.m. – Traffic hazard, officer-initiated activity at Laws Poleta, Laws; 3-4 cows in road way. Dispositio­n: Area checked.

7:39 a.m. – Request deputy, occurred at Glenwood in Bishop. Male subject chased kids who tried to catch the bus at the bus stop. The kids went back to the house and told the reporting party that they missed the bus and the reporting party would like to have the male subject removed. Dispositio­n: Area checked.

7:52 a.m. – Generic fire call, occurred on N. Tu Su in Bishop. Moblie home on fire. Dispositio­n: Fire department handle.

8:52 a.m. – Illegal camping, occurred at Fairview Circle in Bishop. Subject is camping in his mobile home on Fairview and he is blocking workers from cleaning up property. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

9:24 a.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred on Lagoon Street, east on Lagoon. “Scruffy” subject, yelling, cursing possibly at people. Subject possibly disappeare­d into the trailer park. Dispositio­n: Warning (verbal).

10:02 a.m. – Generic fire call/not specified, occurred on N. Tu Su Lane. Male starting fire inside trailer; he had already started another fire on the property. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.
