Ongoing NIH GIFT SHOP
The Northern Inyo Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop, in the lobby of the hospital, is now open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from noon to 4 p.m. The shop carries a wonderful selection of baby clothes and accessories, unique gifts and is the only place in town that sells See’s Candy. The shop accepts credit cards.
SCAMP FOR TEENS (AIRCRAFT CLUB)
For teens interested in flying, engineering, aircraft construction and technology, the SCAMP Program is looking for a few more interested teens to help the club build and fly its next airplane. The group has already built most of the Airframs and are getting ready to install the engine and avionics. Club members also go flying where the teens get an opportunity to take the controls of a general aviation aircraft. Other Wednesdays are devoted to making crafts for the annual Holiday Boutique. ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE
Our Savior Lutheran Church (ELS), 162 Sneden St., Bishop, will have Ash Wednesday at 5 p.m., with a soup supper following the service. Ash Wednesday is our entry into the 40 days of the season of Holy Lent. These special midweek services and soup fellowship will continue for the next five weeks. The Parks and Recreation Department will have a workshop at 6 p.m. This workshop is open to the public and will allow the public to talk with staff and commissioners about current programs and planned projects as well as allow the public to provide feedback.
