- By Sydney Wilson

On Nov. 15, the Bishop Union High School varsity mathletes team traveled to Boron to compete against six other teams.

The Broncos succeeded in keeping their streak of being undefeated by taking home one more win. Tehachapi came in second place with 21 points, Silver Valley in third with 20 points,

Boron in fourth with 14 points, Rosamond in fifth with nine points, and finally, Desert in last place with eight points.

Bishop took home the victory with an impressive 32 points, which is 11 points more than the second place team.

While competing, the team had to solve many difficult questions, one of which was:

Bradley wants to make a 20% solution of NaOH. How much pure water should he add to the 15L of a 30% NaOh solution?

At the end of the meet, four of the Bishop varsity regulars won individual ribbons. Cooper Beard won first place individually with eight points, Jodie Bedore took home second with seven points, and Audrey Cokely and

Alyssa Buchholz tied for third with six points each.

Also competing for the team was Ashley Fitt,

Kate Anderson, Anwyn Benson Hernandez, Alexander Adkins, Ellie Crall, Hunter Dermody, Sabrina Elwell, and

Sydney Norcross.

“This team is so strong!” BUHS mathletes coach DeeDee Buchholz said. “Stay tuned Bishop because they are hungry for the title of league champs!”

Many of the Bishop mathletes took home individual ribbons.
