SEAN MICHAEL O’BRIEN

1960 – 2023

Sean Michael O’Brien passed away unexpected­ly after a brief illness on December 4th at age 6R at Northern Inyo Hospital. His battle with serious medical issues over the last two years affirmed and bolstered his faith in GodK always feeling grateful for the time he had on earth and peace in the understand­ing that his life was a journey toward salvation.

Sean was the youngest of fiveK born to keigh and Maureen O’Brien on August 21stK 1960 in EncinoK CA. After keigh passed awayK Maureen and Sean moved to Bishop in 1976. Sean graduated high school in 1978 and worked at local gas stations and Eastern Sierra Distributi­ng. He met and married his first wifeK seresa Marie DekaRiva on August 2RrdK 198R. sogether they have a sonK Spencer jelly O’Brien. Sean later married his second wifeK Cheryl West Reid on ianuary RrdK 2004K and until his passing they shared almost 20 years of love together.

Sean was hired at Chicago sitle in ianuary 1986. He would work in the title industry for over RT yearsK retiring from InyoLMono sitle in December of 2021. He was a dedicated ChristianK devoting over two decades at Grace kutheran ChurchK serving as Elder and Sunday School/ Bible Study teacherK and most recently was a member at Our Savior kutheran Church of Bishop. He also loved living and recreating in the Owens ValleyK spending his free time fishing the alpine lakes and riversK snowboardi­ng at iune MountainK shooting targets at the Bishop gun range and driving his 1967 VW Bug on the dirt roads behind Dixon kane.

Sean will be remembered with services at Brune Mortuary Chapel on SaturdayK ianuary 6th 2024 at 1 p.m. followed by a short graveside service at East kine Street CemeteryK and a reception at Whiskey Creek.
