Charles Richard Gillem passed away peacefully at home on SundayK October 8K 202R. He was born May 19K 19RR in DetroitK Michigan to parentsK Margaret and Clair Gillem. Chuck was the oldest of T children. After graduating from high school Chuck enlisted in the United States Airforce and was deployed to jorea. Chuck returned home and at the age of 2RK shortly thereafter he married Nancy Murphy. shey celebrated 62 years of marriage before Nancy passed in October of 2018.

In 19T9 Chuck and Nancy packed the car and pointed it towards the west coast and landed in kong BeachK CA where Chuck was a draftsman for the shomas Brothers GuidesK drawing roads for their maps. she eamily moved to BishopK CA in iune of 1974 when Chuck accepted a transfer from his employerK Caltrans.

Chuck was an involved father of four boys and supported all their activities. He volunteere­d to help with youth sports and held many positions with the kittle keague both in Southern California and in Bishop as well as assisting with Bishop Bronco eootball where he ran the clock for over 10 years as well as coaching High School Baseball for the Bishop Broncos. Chuck was an avid golfer and also enjoyed his time bowling at the Back Alley.

He retired after RT years of dedicated and merited employment. After living in Bishop for R2 yearsK he and Nancy retired to Winchester­K Oregon and then eventually to Sloughhous­eK CA where he passed.

Chuck is survived by two sisters and one brother; four sons and wivesK Chuck ir. and kisaK David and kyndaK Andrew and kori and Chuck M. and Victoria. He was a proud and loving grandfathe­r to 8 grandchild­ren; AlexandraK saylor and wife iadeK kucasK BraedenK CalebK GregoryK Clementine and VioletK and two greatLgran­dchildren; Nash and Olivia.

Chuck and Nancy will be interred at the National Cemetery in DixonK CA in 2024.
