Ongoing SENIOR CENTER CANDY SALE

The Bishop Senior Center Recreation Committee will be selling See’s candy and homemade peanut brittle for the holidays. The See’s candy come in a wide assortment and there will also be peanut brittle available, made at the Senior Center, limited to four bags per customer; Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Bishop Senior Center, 682 Spruce St. (behind Bishop City Park). Cash or checks accepted (sorry, no credit cards). All proceeds go toward programs/activities at the Bishop Senior Center.

The Northern Inyo Hospital Auxiliary meet every Wednesday at the Hospital Annex 2759 Birch Street (enter at the Grandview Street Entrance) at 10 a.m. The second Wednesday of the month is a General Meeting. Other Wednesdays are devoted to making crafts for the annual Holiday Boutique. Sunday, Dec. 31 LONE PINE VFW EAST COAST NEW YEAR’S TOAST

Lone Pine VFW Post No. 8036 will host its traditional “Celebrate the New Year when New Yorkers do; Midnight there and 9:00PM here” beginning at 6 p.m. at the Post, 481 S. Main St., Lone Pine. There will be a DJ/Karaoke, drink specials, hors d’ oeuvres, party favors and champagne toasts. Everyone is welcome.
