Ongoing SENIOR CENTER CANDY SALE
The Bishop Senior Center Recreation Committee will be selling See’s candy and homemade peanut brittle for the holidays. The See’s candy come in a wide assortment and there will also be peanut brittle available, made at the Senior Center, limited to four bags per customer; Monday Friday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Bishop Senior Center, 682 Spruce St. (behind Bishop City Park). Cash or checks accepted (sorry, no credit cards). All proceeds go toward programs/activities at the Bishop Senior Center.
Saturday, Dec. 30 SIERRA ROLLER HOCKEY TOURNAMENT
The Sierra Roller Hockey League will have its 30th anniversary Winter Classic Hockey Tournament from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Eastern Sierra TriCounty Fairground’s Charles Brown Auditorium. New games start every hour with a break from noon - 1 p.m.; $5 (cash only) admission wristband grants all-day access to watch the hockey games.

Lone Pine VFW Post No. 8036 will host its traditional “Celebrate the New Year when New Yorkers do; Midnight there and 9:00PM here” beginning at 6 p.m. at the Post, 481 S. Main St., Lone Pine. There will be a DJ/Karaoke, drink specials, hors d’ oeuvres, party favors and champagne toasts. Everyone is welcome.

An online survey is now open for members of the public to provide information, ideas, and feedback on potential projects and which efforts should be prioritized, as the board of supervisors works to determine where resources should be focused over the next several years.
