The Calico Quilters Guild is offering a free workshop for the community, where participants can learn the elements of patchwork design and construction. The workshop will be at a.m. in the Patio Building at the TriCounty Fairgrounds. To participate, you will need a portable sewing machine, know how it operates and how to sew a straight seam. Bishop VFW Auxiliary Post 8988 is serving breakfast from 9–11 a.m. at 484 Short St. The menu will be chicken fried steak, country potatoes, eggs to order, biscuits and gravy, coffee, orange juice and hot chocolate, all for a donation of $15 for adults, children 12 years and younger eat for half price. Monday, Jan. 15 MISSOULA CHILDREN’S THEATRE AUDITIONS
Missoula Children’s Theatre auditions for the upcoming production of “Peter and Wendy” will be at 1 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room at Home Street Middle School, 201 Home St., Bishop. After roles are cast, rehearsals will begin immediately after the auditions. Rehearsals will continue every day after school Jan 16-19. The performances will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20. All students K-8 are encouraged to come audition. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play- There are only parts for 50-60 students.

PARENT EDUCATION NIGHT VAPING 101
There will be a Parent Education Night at 5:30 p.m. at the Bishop Elementary School Library, 800 W. Elm St., Bishop, titled “Vaping 101 and how to help your child not start.” Topics will include information regarding vaping, state and local laws and related information.
Wednesday, Jan. 17 CALIFORNIA HAWKING CLUB
The California Hawking Club will be holding its annual falconry meet at the Tri-County Fairgrounds Jan. 17-20. This is a great opportunity for all raptor enthusiasts to come see birds of prey in an outdoor bird weathering area and meet falconers who participate in the sport of falconry.
