I’m hoping that voters are taking notice of American neoNazis marching in Nashville and a right-wing reactionary revival in the Supreme Court with their current ban on abortions, repealing Roe vs. Wade.

It seems that 91 criminal counts and owing millions that juries have unanimously concluded for his harmfulness – haven’t yet stopped the influence of Mr. Trump.

Having been a pastor’s kid and experiencing many years in churches, the conservatism in religion and in people around me throughout much of my life has been tragic and intriguing.

What exactly are they trying to conserve? Do we really want to revive the ignorance of the past – racism, sexism, women as second class citizens, sex objects, incubators?

At least one in four American women have had or will have an abortion, whether it’s safe and legal – or not. I was fortunate to have one with a brave doctor and something like an underground rail-road, many years ago when it was not legal.

The secret waiting list was so long that we had to wait for months. Thankfully, friends helped me come up with thousands of dollars.

I winced when someone said she used a coat hanger in her time of need.

Abortions have been recorded on papyrus in Egypt. While most women avoid the stigma of going public with this private decision, I prefer being open and honest about my experience for the sake of others.

I’m grateful for having been among feminists, courageous activists who finally won the battle for women’s bodily autonomy and reproductive rights.

I wouldn’t wish an illegal abortion on anyone even though I survived mine and it’s truly been a blessing for my life. Still it was risky, and it’s vital that abortions be legal and safe.

I heartily endorse President Biden, his heartfelt caring on this important issue, over Mr. Trump’s calloused conservatism and his promise to kill abortion rights.

Is democracy worth saving or does authoritarian rule and more privatization and corporate takeover, sound enticing? Even the Social Security check that we depend on – is on Republican cutting blocks!

May the spirit of truth, loving kindness and freedom, and checking out the facts – trump ignorance and hate and WIN in this election!
