Elections Office releases initial results from Tuesday

Elections office to begin adding mail-in ballots

The following are some of the results from the Inyo County Elections Office third report from Election Day on Tuesday. The report is the semifinal report for election night and includes all votes cast in person at the polls as well as mailin ballots that were received and processed prior to Election Day.

Mailed ballots that are post marked by Election Day can be received through March 12, per state law. Mailed ballots that have been received on time but require signature confirmati­on can be counted through March 25. The final official canvass of votes, which certifies the election results, is set for March 27.

The county’s Elections Office is scheduled to post its next report this evening.

inyo County second district supervisor Jeff Griffiths – 301 votes (59.14%)

Laura Smith – 208 votes (40.86%)

inyo County Fourth district supervisor Genevieve “Gina” Jones – 221 votes (37.21%

Jen Roeser – 373 votes (62.79%)

inyo County Fifth district supervisor Aaron Cassell – 68 votes (12.12%)

Laura M. Blystone – 84 votes (14.97%)

Dan Berry – 205 votes (36.54%)

Will “The Handyman” Wadelton – 100 votes (17.83%)

Ash Seiter – 75 votes (13.37%)

Spencer McNeal – 29 votes (5.17%)

If no one in a particular race receives 50% percent of the vote or more, the top two vote receivers will face off in the general election in November.

Inyo County has a total current voter count, as of Feb. 1, of 10,867 voters.
