Life lives through you
Unlike most religions and mythical practices, we of the metaphysical orientations are more interested in life and how to live it that is most beneficial to each of us. That does not make us atheistic or non-spiritual. On the contrary, I consider us the most spiritual, due to how our teaching follows the path of affirmative living, which is positive and loving in all our endeavors. We have no devils or demons because they do not contribute to an uplifting and onward sense of being. We know that a state of Heaven or hell is not a geographical location, but a state of mind. There are those of us that never studied the Judeo/Christian Bible. We recognize the great contribution the Bible has made to society but find that there is more we can do individually to further our life experience.
If you look at history, both ways past or even modern, you will find that most every war and battle has been fought to preserve one religion or the other. Millions have given their lives for their God, but God never created man that he might kill one another. Life which is God, is for living and living well. We have the belief in God and of God, in that we believe God is our life and sustenance. Knowing that there is only One Power which is God, and we are all using it. That we call Omnipotent. The ever presence of is Omnipresent, and the all knowingness of God is Omniscience. If it all sounds complicated, it is really very simple. God, or whatever you want to call
It, is the Creator. You, by your words, thoughts, and deeds, direct what God will create in your life.
This means that if you desire a happy and fulfilling experience, you must depend not on luck, but your own input in all that you do. You cannot focus your attention on all that is wrong and expect your life to be a bed of roses. If looking at the news depresses you, stay away from it until you can stay informed without emotional involvement. When I first started in Religious Science, I found it hard to stay positive and still watch the news. I vowed to abstain from the news for thirty days. At the end of thirty days, I once again turned on the news. Guess what? It was as if I had never stopped watching. They were still talking about the same things. They had not missed me at all. The world and the lack, loss and limitation emphasis can go on forever but it need not touch you. Life is an individual experience for all of us.
We have all heard that if you want a friend, you must be a friend. Likewise, if you desire love you must be loving. To be a success you must think success, speak successfully and as William James said, “Act as if.” God’s power and energy is within each one of us to do and be all that we desire.
Say to yourself, “The power and energy within me enriches my life. God within me, as me is all I need. All the Universe desires that I succeed. The power within my mind is enough to change my whole experience. Good and only good is mine now.”
