Ongoing FREE TAX HELP FEBRUARY THROUGH APRIL 15
The AARP Foundation Tax Aide programs in Bishop and Mammoth expanded opportunities in Bishop. Appointments are now being accepted for Friday afternoons from 1:30 - 4 p.m. Additionally as a result of the Library flood, the Mammoth site has moved to Fire Station No. 2 (next to Snowcreek Athletic Club) until the library reopens.

TK/kinder pre-registration has opened for Bishop Elementary School, 800 W. Elm St., Bishop, for the school year beginning Aug. 15. WILDCARE EASTERN SIERRA ORIENTATION
Wildcare Eastern Sierra, which cares for wild injured, orphaned, or sick birds, mammals, and reptiles throughout the Eastern Sierra, will have an orientation for individuals who may be interested in helping Wildcare by volunteering. The orientation will be from 1 - 3 p.m. at the center include many different volunteer opportunities, including caring for animals at the center; transporting a patient to the Center from locations such as Mammoth, Lone Pine, Lee Vining, etc.; running a shopping trip, building or repairing cages; or working on small projects at home. Monday, April 15 CERRO COSO ENROLLMENT AND CAREER FAIR
Cerro Coso Eastern Sierra College Center will assist in enrollment at the Bishop campus from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. There will be help with applying to Cerro Coso, registering for summer and fall classes, assistance with financial aid and information regarding career options. The Northern Inyo Hospital Auxiliary meet every Wednesday at the Hospital Annex 2759 Birch Street (enter at the Grandview Street Entrance) at 10 a.m. The second Wednesday of the month is a General Meeting. Other Wednesdays are devoted to making crafts for the annual Holiday Boutique. BISHOP PAIUTE CELEBRATION TRIBE’S EARTH DAY
The Bishop Paiute Tribe’s Earth Day Celebration at the Owens Valley Paiute Shoshone Cultural Center, 2300 W. Line St., Bishop, starts with a community road-side cleanup from 9 - 10:30 a.m., followed by a spring and youth art market from 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Enjoy local artists, activity tables, informational booths, food vendors and live music. Vendor space is still available for a fee of $15 for adults and free for youth ages 17 and younger.
