The choice is yours
Sometimes I wonder whether if all the great religions of the world has helped or done irrefutable harm to mankind. So many belief systems have sought to make their followers completely dependent on their teachings that they have robbed them of independent thought. The Bible says that God made man in
His own image and after His likeness, which means that we are not an automaton, but a free thinker and doer. As such, we should realize that we have choice in all that we say and do, and of course with choice comes responsibility. In short, we have no one to blame but ourselves. I know that will not set right with those that put the blame for everything on some evil force, but they will just have to live with it.
Sometimes we learn by the choices we have made and sometimes by those made by others. If you believe the Bible, it will spell out many wrong choices made in the past and even God’s rectifying solutions. Floods and lightning strikes aside, man’s free choice is always front and center. Every day we must answer Johua’s call, “Whom will you serve this day? God if it be God or Baal.” Baal being the spirit of lack, loss and limitation. You see that where you are going to spend eternity is not any more important than the next moment.

Jesus said, Ye are gods and all children of the Most High. Your choice results in the heaven or hell you reside in. So vital is your thinking life, that you should guard the portals of your mind from negation. Think of your mind like the garden you wish to plant. You prepare the soil by removing the weeds and debris from the past.
Next you select those things you wish to grow. Be sure you plant the seeds of love in at least one row. Include good health in another and prosperity in yet another. From now on you will tend and nurture your garden. You and all those around you will reap the harvest.
The food for your garden is knowledge, not superstition or fear. Even though many religions attempt to frighten us with the wrath of God, that is actually an oxymoron. God is love and loving you at all times. According to the Bible
God is so pure that He cannot even see evil, much less decide to destroy you.
Say to yourself, “Within me, as me, I have the wisdom and ability to make right decisions in my life. I cultivate goodness, truth and beauty into all I say and do. I let go of lack, loss and limitation and embrace love and growth. I will fear no evil for wisdom is with me.”
