Rep. Buck names Danielsmika district director
U.S. Rep. Ken Buck, R-windsor, has announced the selection of Monica Daniels-mika as director of Colorado’s Fourth Congressional District.
Experience she has in public sector service to Weld County make Daniels-mika uniquely qualified for the position leading district-area efforts for the office, Buck said in announcing the appointment.
Daniels-mika spent more than two decades working in Weld County government, where she ser ved as chief of staf f to commissioners, director of finance and administration, and director of planning ser vices. She has ser ved during the past seven years as executive director of Centennial Area Health Education Center, a nonprofit organization in Greeley tasked with developing community capacity through education and workforce. Daniels-mika is also an adjunct instructor at the University of Northern Colorado and worked with Buck during his capacity as Weld County district attorney.

Her family’s homestead is in Washington County, where they still farm and reside. Her sister farms and has a sheep operation in Morgan County and her father owns a farm parts store in Greeley.

She will manage the overall district operation and workflow for Buck in Colorado, including management of constituent services and stakeholder outreach. Daniels-mika holds a master’s of regional and community planning and a master’s in design and housing from Kansas State University. She will begin as district director on Feb. 15.
