Becky "Gma" Lou Hancock, 66, of Sterling, CO passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022 in Sterling. A graveside ser vice was held Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.

Becky was born October 21, 1955 in Englewood, CO, to Mary Lou ( Felker) and Paul David Newport. She attended Clayton for K- 9, and then attended Englewood High School for 10- 12. She was active in band during her school years. She was especial proud of playing in the marching band in the rose bowl parade. After school Becky joined the U. S. Army in 1974 and was enlisted until her honorable discharge in 1976. After discharge from the Army she went to work for the IRS retiring in 2002.

Becky's first marriage was to Jim Self, to this union one child Wayne was born, the two later divorced after 4 years of marriage. She then married Anthony Hancock, to this union 2 children were born Angela and Cassie, the two remained married until Anthony's death in 2015. Becky loved to color, loved fishing and boating, Cabela's was like a second home to her.

She was very proud to be a grandmothe­r and was very excited when she found out she was going to be a great- grandma, not once but twice in the same month. Her family meant the world to her and she was overjoyed at this special gift.

Becky is sur vived by son Wayne Self and wife Dawn, daughter Angela Riggins and husband Mark, daughter Cassie Ruiz and husband Ben, 14 grandchild­ren, 2 great- grandchild­ren on the way, sister- in- law Lou Barton ( Bill), and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father Mary and Paul, husband Anthony Hancock, brother Roger, brother- in- laws Matthew Hancock, Daniel "Butch" Hancock, and William Hancock, sister- in- law Sally, mother- in- law Ruth Hancock and father- in- law Virgil Hancock.
