Donna Jean Meyer

September 25, 1938 - December 20, 2022

Donna Jean Meyer, 84, formerly of Sterling, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022 in Idaho. A celebration of Donna's life will be held Friday, March 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Sterling with Pastor Charles Clark officiating.

Donna was born September 25, 1938 in Denver, CO to Daniel and Dora (Keyt) Brockman. Donna moved to Sterling with her parents after grade school and graduated in 1956 from Sterling High School. She later received a certificate for food preparation at NJC and became the kitchen manager for Sterling Middle School before retiring in 1998. Donna married Willis Meyer on January 5, 1958 in Sterling, CO. The two were married for 50 years until the passing of Willis in 2008. Donna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sterling and enjoyed attending bible study. Donna loved children and her various roles as a Girl Scout leader, leader of the Southside

Raiders 4H

Club, Mother Advisor for Rainbow Girls, lifetime member of Eastern Star, and School

Board Member for RE-1 Valley. In her free time, Donna enjoyed crafts, cooking, baking and meeting friends at Mcdonalds. Donna was quick to make a new friend and was always willing to help those in need. Donna is survived by her daughter Lisa Meyer-jones and son-in-law, Doug of Shelley, Idaho; three grandchildren, Joshua (Lynn) Jones, Alicia (Clayton) Palmer, and Amanda (Nick) Bass, as well as 7 great-grandchildren. Willis Meyer; father, Daniel Brockman; mother, Dora
