April Machelle Potyondy, 48, of Sterling passed away Wednesday, December 13 in Sterling. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, Dec. 19th at First English Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard von Steinman officiating. April was born on July 25, 1975, in Flint, Michigan. She attended Sterling public schools and received her Bachelor's in Behavioral Science at Concordia College in Seward, NE. She was the Owner and Care Provider for the Developmentally disabled and elderly at April's Angels LLC. On June 26, 1999, she married Joseph Potyondy in Sterling. They were married for 24 years. April enjoyed fostering dogs, playing the piano, road trips, and making salts and soaps with the Mad Hatters. She also loved cooking and baking. April loved her kids and clients to the moon and back. Her love of animals was a driving force in loving and adopting 3 dogs. April is survived by her husband Joseph; sons Jeremia (Harley Kingsley) Potyondy and J. Jerick Potyondy; grandchild Juniper Potyondy; parents Jenifer and Gordon Felzien; brother Jon-christopher Felzien; parents-in-law Stephan and Marion Potyondy; sister-in-law Heidi Potyondy and nephew George Zetter wall; brother-in-law Philip (Abigail Liesch) Potyondy; brother-in-law Peter (Karen) Potyondy; niece and nephew Josie and Jameson Potyondy; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friends who are in group on Wednesday; and other friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Ira and Wilma Felzien, maternal grandparents G.N. and Katherine Hurst, and many other friends and family.
