Pete Krohn

Pete Krohn passed away on December 16th after a hard-fought battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Pete was born on June 23rd, 1956, to Enos and Doris Krohn in Brush, CO. He was raised on the family farm with his sister Kris.

Pete went to college at NJC where he began dating the love of his life Janet. They would later be married in Aug of 1979. Pete and Janet welcomed 2 daughters which they raised on that same family farm. Pete was a farmer by trade but contractin­g was his true passion. When Pete took over the family farm his Dad, Enos encouraged him to get involved in the farm community. This lead to him being a very active member of the water companies. Pete served on 3 different water company boards and was president of the Jackson Lake Reservoir and Irrigation company as well as Fort Morgan Reservoir and irrigation company. He served as president for 7 years on each board. He served for a total of 23 years. Pete was a Brush Volunteer Fire Fighter from February of 1980 until April of 2003.

While serving as a Volunteer Fire Fighter he held many offices including Secretary and Treasure. The fire department became an extended family that Pete, Janet the girls will forever treasure.

Pete loved to spend time with friends and family. One of his favorites things to do was play softball with the Mortec team. He played with the same group of guys for 20 years. Pete was always willing to come to help any of his friends and family. Any time he got a call he was the first to show up and didn't leave until the problem was solved and the job was done, (Or the beer was all drank).

Pete is proceeded in death by his Father, Enos Krohn and his Mother, Doris Krohn. He is survived by his Wife, Janet; Daughters Jenna Radke (Jason), and Halie Deslaurier­s (Michael); 5 grandsons, Nolan and Luka Radke, Connor, Colten and Colby Deslaurier­s; and his sister Kris Toyne (David)

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held on January 4th at 1pm at the Bollinger Farm, 16976 Rd 25, Ft. Morgan 80701. Dinner and Drinks to follow.
