Sterling football players earn accolades
Coach Rob Busmente named Patriot League Coach of the Year
The Sterling Tigers football team may have ended the season with a 4-5 record, but those numbers don’t accurately reflect the success of the season when looking at the accolades the team collected.
Six players made the Patriot League All-conference list: senior Gage Parker and juniors Hunter Diamond, Ayden Gandee, Carter Jaeger, Aidan Kiser and Kaden Maikowski. Three others earned Allconference Honorable Mention: senior Manny Renteria, junior Tim Scheufele and freshman Hunter Hershfeldt.
Longtime head coach Rob Busmente was also recognized by the Patriot League as Coach of the Year.
