Shane A. Kloberdanz
August 26, 1966 - December 8, 2023
Shane Aaron Kloberdanz, 57, of Sterling, CO, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 8, 2023, in Aurora, CO. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 6th at 11 a.m. at the Elks Lodge in Sterling, with Myra Westfall officiating. A private inurnment will take place at the Merino Cemetery at a later date.
Shane was born to Stan and Bonnie (Japp) Kloberdanz on August 26, 1966, in Sterling,
CO. He attended Sterling High School and graduated in 1985. Shane worked as a carpenter for many years, known for being meticulous in his work. He was employed by Creative Woodworking from 1994-2008, RE-1 Valley School District from 2008-2021, and Northeastern Junior College from 2021-2023. Shane married Korrie Schneider in 1992, and the marriage brought two children: a daughter and a son. Shane developed a love for the outdoors at a young age. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, processing game, and artifact collecting. He was especially fond of spending time on the Cache La Poudre River and in the Nebraska Sandhills. Shane showed his love to his family and friends by often inviting them over for delicious home-cooked meals and good conversation. Shane also took pride in closely replicating artifacts as
High Plains Casting for a number of years.
Shane was a friend to many with a contagious laugh. His family and friends always felt loved and cared for in his presence. He will be deeply missed by his grandsons, who loved spending time with "Grandpa."
Shane is survived by his daughter Shaye Gifford and husband Jeremy of Ogallala, NE; son Seth Kloberdanz of Sterling, CO; grandchildren Graham Gifford, Bennett
Gifford, and a third grandchild due in January; parents Stan and Bonnie Kloberdanz of Sterling, CO; sister Melissa Ramos and husband Alex of Sterling, CO; niece Alex Richie and husband Shane of Peetz, CO; and nephew Bryce Ramos of Peetz, CO.
Shane was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Elizabeth Kloberdanz, Delmar and Nira Japp, and special uncle, Gerald "Jerry" Kloberdanz.
