Rocky Mountain Gun Owners to offer 2nd Amendment Briefing in Sterling

- Taylor D. Rhodes is the executive director of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners.

As we approach 2024, Colorado gun owners should be prepared they will likely face unconstitutional bills seeking to ban semi-automatic guns, mandatory registration of guns, background checks for ammo purchases and even limiting the number of guns a citizen can purchase.

Regulating and restricting firearms for law-abiding citizens is intensifying in Colorado and we are at a critical juncture where our 2nd Amendment freedom is at stake.

Rocky Mountain Gun Owners (RMGO) is recognized for its staunch advocacy toward the 2nd Amendment right, and we aim to bring together passionate advocates and concerned citizens to understand the current legislative landscape surrounding our right to bear arms.

RMGO will offer a 2nd Amendment Legislative Briefing at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 9 in Sterling at Sky Ranch Golf Course. This event will shed light on pending legislation and crucial legislative matters concerning gun rights and regulations that will impact gun owners across Northeast Colorado.

The two-hour event is open to firearm enthusiasts, legal experts, community leaders and everyone in between. The executive director of RMGO will provide key insights and updates about potential legislative changes that might affect gun rights, and discuss gun owners and RMGO’S efforts to push back against any bill affecting the 2nd amendment. There will be a Q&A at the end of the presentation, giving attendees an opportunity for direct engagement, clarification, and a better understanding of the stance and strategy of Colorado’s champion gun lobby.

This briefing is a critical step in ensuring that the voices of responsible gun owners are heard, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in shaping legislation.

RMGO has ongoing lawsuits against the Standard Compacity Magazine Ban, Minimum Three-day Waiting Period, 18—21-Year-old Gun Ban and Boulder County Assault Weapon Ban. RMGO is currently raising funds for multiple other egregious lawsuits negatively affecting law-abiding citizens across Colorado.

As debates around gun rights continue, local level events like this help to inform citizens and promote collective action. We need your help and participation to push back against anti-gun bills in the State of Colorado.

Individuals interested in attending the RMGO Second Amendment Legislative briefing are encouraged to mark their calendars for 6:30 p.m. Jan. 9 at Sky Ranch Golf Course in Sterling. As promised, this event will be an insightful and empowering session for those passionate about safeguarding their 2nd Amendment rights.

Those attending will also have an opportunity to gather some free RMGO swag.

For Freedom.
