Norman Foos

Norman Lee Foos, 73, of Proctor, CO, passed away January 7, 2024 after a valiant struggle with life-changing injuries sustained in a car accident in April 2018.

Norm was born March 14, 1950 to Victor & Harriett Foos. He graduated from Crook High School in 1969 and went to work at Sterling Beef Plant, where he worked until the plant closed in 1997. Then, he worked various mechanic and handyman jobs until his accident in 2018. In 1972, Norm married Janet Egbert. They made their home in Sterling, CO, where they raised their four children. Norm and Janet remained friends after their divorce in 2001, and Janet helped care for him in his last years. Norm had a knack for fixing things, made the best beef jerky, enjoyed playing city-league basketball as "Stormin' Norman", and lovedcampi­ng and gathering with family and friends for backyard volleyball games and grilling.

Norm is survived by his children and grandchild­ren: Jason (Sarah) Foos, Rachel, Benjamin & Adam of St. Cloud, MN; Matthew Foos, Hailey & Alyssa of Sterling, CO; Juliann (Shaun) County, Makenzie & Leah of Ft. Collins, CO; and David (Staci) Foos, Taryn & Austin of Sterling, CO; by his siblings: Vickie Heimbegner of Sterling, CO; Ron Foos of Rock Springs, WY; and Keith Foos of Fort Collins,

CO. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Bonnie; brother-in-law, Jake Heimbegner; and sisters-in-law, Linda Foos and Stacy Foos.

Our thanks to all the kind hands that cared for Norm at Eben Ezer of Brush, where he resided for the past 5 years. Thank you to all who lifted him in prayer. May you all be abundantly blessed!

Per Norm's request, there will be no service. He has donated his body to science, and now rests peacefully in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
