YU & I PERFORMING SATURDAY IN STERLING

The third concert of the 20232024 Sterling Concert Series, Yu & I, will be on Saturday, Feb. 17, at 7:00 p.m. at the Sterling Middle School.

Yueun Kim and Ines Thome met in 2013 when they both had just moved to the U.S. Yueun is from Korea and Ines came from Germany. They found themselves as housemates in an old Victorian building in Los Angeles. As they were both studying at USC’S Thornton School of Music, they immediatel­y connected through their love of chamber music and good Korean food.

Yu & I will take you on a journey of folk music, not only from their homelands, but also from other composers from around the world. Classicall­y trained in guitar and violin, Yu & I will captivate audiences with the highest level of artistry. Program highlights will include “Romanian Folk Dances” (Romanian), “Mountain Songs” (American); “Die Forelle” (German), “Kuejina Chigching Nanae” (Korean) and many more.

Members of the Concert Series will be admitted by showing their current tickets. Tickets will also be available at the door for $15 for adults and $5 for students.

The final concert of this season will be Branden & James with Effie Passero at the Sterling Middle School. The 7:00 pm concert will be April 15. Come and relax on Income Tax Day at the concert!
