Suzanne "Suzi" E. Bera

July 7, 1988 - February 23, 2024

-

Our beloved Suzi at the young age of 35, suddenly passed away at her home in Englewood, Colorado. Suzi was born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado and lived in Golden until the age of 11 when the family moved to Sterling. She played competitive soccer from 3rd grade to 6th grade for Arvada United and was nicknamed "Wheels" by her teammates for her speed and agility. She continued playing for Sterling's travel league until high school. Suzi graduated from Sterling High School in 2006 and lettered in both soccer and cheerleading. She went on to attend the University of Northern Colorado where she earned a B.A. in Visual Arts.

At a very young age, Suzi loved to draw and paint and had natural artistic talent. She was a free spirited artist, and created art with no restrictions on her creativity. Suzi enjoyed sharing her talent with others. She taught art classes at the Ridge Pinehurst Senior Living, Center, did commission art work on the side, and bartended to help pay the bills. She made sure she created something special for her close friends and family. Suzi had a passion for all kinds of plants and would care for them as if they were her babies. But to all of us, Suzi's biggest gift was her exuberate and vibrant personality.

She would light up a room with her smile and humor and would turn a bad day into a good day. Her friends would say if Suzi's there, we know we're going to have a good time. She also loved to travel, skydive, hike, and camp. We love you Suzi and will miss you every day of our lives.

Suzi leaves behind her parents Chuck and Ruth, brother Blake, loving Grandmother Alice Ledin, Aunts Lisa Gardner and Kim Bera, Cousins Nick Adams, Kacy (Austin) Waterman, Aaron

Gehrs, Bianca (Josh) Shulda, Brittany (Thomas) Krycinski and Delani Bera, close family friends Charlotte "Tod" Selner, Lynnell and Terry Vogel, and her precious cats, Jerry and Sophie.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday March 2nd at 11:00am at the First Presbyterian Church, 130 S. 4th St. Sterling, CO with a Celebration of Life to follow at Sky Ranch Golf Course 17408 Hwy Co 14 in Sterling.

In Lieu of flowers and in appreciation of Suzi's love of cats, please make memorial donations to the Logan County Human Society c/o Tennant Funeral Home, PO Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
