Clara was born on December 27, 1937 in Sterling to John and Anna (Ertle)

Gertner. She attended Padroni School and Northeastern Junior College. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was employed at Stickney's Inc for six years, worked as a secretary at Fleming school for several years, and then worked at the NJC cafeteria for 33 years. She married Frank Marie on Dec. 30, 1961 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. She gave her heart and soul to her family, friends, and Jesus.

Clara was a gentle soul who touched the hearts of many people. Many parishioners at St Anthony's parish became family to her. She loved her Catholic faith and lived it daily. She suffered many hardships, but she always found a way to smile and give tenderness to others. When facing hardships, Clara would remind us what her mother told her, "You just take it as it comes", and then she would simply trust in Jesus. Clara found true love with her husband, Frank. Her heart was broken when he passed away in 1978.

Although it was hard,

Clara provided for her five children and gave them everything she had. Clara loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, reading, and visiting with relatives and friends. She did volunteer work for the church at Devonshire Acres. She assisted with funeral luncheons and folded bulletins at St Anthony's church.

Clara is survived by her children and grandchildren: her son Jim and his wife Sharon of Tolland, Connecticut, grandchildren Jacob and Michelle; daughter Debbie Lively of Sterling; daughter

Kathy Snow and her husband Ted of Denver, grandchildren Brittany and Maddie; great grandchildren Luca and Cassian; her son Steve and his wife Lisa of Laurel, Montana, grandchildren Frank, Fiona, Genevieve, Beatrice, and George; her daughter Cheryl Marie of Jacksonville, Florida; sisters Sr. Leonette of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and

Margaret Clapham of Denver; brothers Clarence Gertner and Lawrence Gertner of Sterling; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John, Dave, Marcus, Gabriel, and Donald; sisters Anna Mary Bretz, Josie Amerin, and Virginia Amerin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Clara's name for St. Anthony Catholic Church care of Tennant Funeral Home, PO Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
