Darold Pendleton

- Darold L. Pendleton, 68, of Peoria passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Bloomington. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association.

Darold was born on November 19, 1955, in Toledo, OH, son to James A. and Esther B. Thomas Pendleton. He married Debra L. Moore on June 16, 1984, in Peoria.

Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Debra Pendleton; daughters, Desiree Pendleton, Dawn Pendleton and Danielle (Quinton) Johnson, all of Peoria; grandchildren, Mariah Pendleton of Columbus, OH, and Amari Boyd, Aubree Johnson and Ahmir Johnson, all of Peoria; siblings, Beverly “Rae” (Cedric) Craft of Fort Worth, TX, Linda Smith of Peoria, Clarence (Beverly) Pendleton of Galesburg, Gregory Pendleton of Peoria, Mark Pendleton of Dallas, TX, and Jeffrey Pendleton of Peoria; and sister-in-law, Jackie Pendleton. He is also survived by two aunts, one uncle and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael Pendleton.

Darold was employed as an operating engineer with Local IUOE 649 in Peoria for 25 years, retiring in 2001.

Darold deeply loved his children and grandchildren. He was extremely talented with building and fixing things. Darold was also an antique car enthusiast.

Darold was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
