PEKIN - Judith “Judy” Jeanine Haynes, 82, of Pekin, IL, passed away peacefully at 3:55 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024. She was in her home at Pekin Manor, surrounded by loved ones, as she entered the presence of our Lord and Saviour.

Judy was born on November 3, 1941, in Canton, IL, to Gerald and Irene (Lampkin) Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Timothy D. Haynes; one brother, Phillip (Nellie) Anderson; one nephew, Robbie Watson, and one niece, Elaine Rasti.

Surviving are two daughters, Rachel Haynes of Dunlap, IL, and Angela Schuttler of Florida; three grandchild­ren, Zachary, Conner and Shane; two sisters, Janice (Sonny) Copeland of Pekin and Martha Watson of Port St. Lucie, FL; two nephews, Phillip Deaton and David Anderson; and five nieces, Debbie Curtis, Deanna Carr, Tina Ankeny, Ruby Juska and Chrissy Foster.

Judy worked at Commonweal­th Edison Powerton in Pekin, where she was the first woman to be storeroom clerk. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Pekin. Her first love was the Lord, her family and friends and bringing a warm smile to the heart. She enjoyed cooking and shopping. She loved animals of all kinds.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
