This decorative adaptation of the cross uses five types of beads and several specialty stitches, including Algerian eyelet, herringbon­e, Rhodes and stem stitches.

Instructio­ns: Cross stitch over two threads using two strands of floss.

Work square Rhodes stitch (blue lines) over six threads using two strands blanc/45001.

Work Algerian eye stitch (pink lines) over six threads using two strands blanc/45001.

Work stem stitch (light purple lines) using two strands 340/45070.

Work modified herringbon­e stitch (dark purple lines) using two strands 333/45066.

Attach seed, pebble and size 8 beads using one strand of coordinati­ng floss and a full cross stitch. The bugle beads are attached with one strand coordinati­ng floss and making one pass through bead. Attach the cameo heart treasure with two strands 153/45468 in space at center of cross.
