Instructions: Cross stitch over two threads using two strands of floss. Work 3/4 cross stitch where small symbols appear using two strands of floss.

Backstitch over two threads using one strand 3799/45397.

white Belfast linen from Zweigart® • 9" piece 5mm white satin ribbon • Polyester fiberfill • Fabric-marking pencil • Straight pins • Coordinating sewing thread • Sewing machine (optional) Press stitched piece from reverse side, straightening as much as possible. Place stitched piece over backing fabric right sides together; pin together.

Print heart template and cut out. Position template on reverse side of stitched piece, centering stitching within heart; trace around heart.

Position ribbon for hanger between fabric layers to catch when sewing. Hand- or machine-stitch along traced line, leaving a 11/2" opening for turning. Trim around heart, leaving a 1/4" seam allowance.
