Materials: Mill Hill Seed Beads old gold #G00557; Darice Glass Seed Beads10/0 gold #1118-23; beading needle Stitch Count: 70H x 66W Design Size: 5" x 43/4"

Instructions: Work Kloster blocks over four threads using two strands blanc/45001 pearl cotton.

Cross stitch over two threads using two strands of floss.

Work star knitting stitch over 20 threads using two strands of floss.

Work Rhodes stitch over four threads using two strands of floss.

Using sharp embroidery scissors, cut fabric where red lines appear on chart. Carefully withdraw cut fabric threads.

Work woven bars (wb) over remaining fabric threads using one strand blanc/45001 floss.

Attach beads around star using matching floss and 1/2 cross stitch. String size 10 beads onto floss; referring to photo, attach strands to stitched piece using matching floss and 1/2 cross stitch. Finishing Materials & Instructions • 5"x 5" piece foam-core board • One 5"x5" piece and one43/4"x 43/4"

piece green felt • Craft glue • Coordinating grosgrain ribbon • Straight pins • Size 10 metallic gold glass seed beads

from Darice • Coordinating sewing thread

Trim stitched piece to 6"x 6". Glue 5"x 5" felt piece to one side of foamcore board; let dry.

Center stitched piece over feltcovered foam-core board with star and trunk at corners. Fold extra fabric to back of foam-core board, mitering corners and securing them with stitches.

For hanger, cut 9" length of ribbon; form loop and stitch in place on back top corner. Stitch one end of another piece of ribbon to back top corner and begin twisting ribbon along edges of ornament. Secure each twist with a gold bead and straight pin pushed into edge of foam-core board. Secure other end of ribbon on back top corner by stitching in place.

Glue 43/4" x 43/4" piece of felt to back of ornament, covering ends of ribbon hanger; let dry.
