Christmas memories for me involve time spent with my family—the laughs and stories we have shared. One Christmas in particular sticks out. It was a year when my mom was living with us. My grown son, Jamie, had been teasing his grandmother about how it was too much work and cost too much to buy presents. So Mom and I set a plan in motion. On his Christmas present that year was an itemized bill for his present. We started with Grandma, from getting out of bed until the present was under the tree. Jamie was charged for time spent plus all other expenses. The giggles we shared thinking up each thing—we had quite a list. My son was a good sport and took it all in stride. Merry Christmas to all and may God bless. This recipe is Jamie’s favorite and “must have” every year.

Frozen Cranberry Salad

1 can whole cranberry sauce 6 ounces crushed pineapple 6 ounces frozen orange juice

concentrate 1 pint whipping cream, whipped

Mix all ingredients and pour into a gelatin mold or 9"x 9" pan. Freeze. Cut into slices or scoop with a spoon.
