Finishing Materials & Instructions

• 10" x 5" piece polka- dot fabric • 1 yard orange rickrack • Polyester fiberfill • Coordinating sewing thread

Press stitched piece from reverse side, straightening as much as possible. Trim stitched piece to 1/2" from stitching on all sides.

Cut a piece of polka-dot fabric 11/4" x the length of the trimmed stitched piece. Cut rickrack the length of the trimmed stitched piece. Referring to photo throughout and using a 1/4" seam allowance, stitch rickrack and polka-dot fabric along top edge of trimmed stitched piece to complete ornament front.

Using ornament front as a template, cut a piece of polka-dot fabric to same size for backing. Pin ornament front to backing fabric, right sides together. Sew together using a 1/4" seam allowance, leaving one side open.

Turn ornament right side out and press seams; stuff with fiberfill. Using a hand-sewing needle and thread, blind-stitch opening closed.

Cut rickrack to desired length for hanger. Sew ends to upper corners on back of ornament.
