Materials

• 8" x 7" piece 14- count granite natural light perforated paper from Wichelt Imports Inc.

• One skein each DMC® or Sullivans®

USA six-strand embroidery floss

• Size 24 tapestry needle

Instructio­ns

Cross stitch over one square using two strands of floss. Where small symbols appear, work 1/4 cross stitch, using two strands of floss and piercing perforated paper. Work 1/2 cross stitch using two strands of floss.

Backstitch over one square using two strands of floss for 3011/45316 and one strand of floss for remaining backstitch.

Work straight stitch using two strands of floss for “Bless this house.”

Finishing Materials & Instructio­ns

• One sheet each white and light green

cardstock

• 8" x 43/4" piece complement­ary

cardstock

• Double-sided adhesive tape

• 20" length 1/2"-wide cream ribbon

Trim stitched piece to one square from stitching on all sides. Using double-sided tape, adhere stitched piece to white cardstock and trim cardstock even to stitched piece.

Cut green cardstock to 1/4" larger than assembled stitched piece. Center stitched piece on green cardstock and adhere with double-sided tape.

Score complement­ary cardstock and fold in half to form a 4" x 43/4" card. Adhere assembled stitched unit to front of card front, placing right edge of stitched unit closer to card’s opening than to its fold.

Place ribbon inside card fold and wrap to the front of card. Tie a bow and secure using double-sided tape. Trim ends as desired.
