Finishing Instructions
Press stitched piece from reverse side, straightening as much as possible.
Model was finished as a flat ornament. Embellish with desired trim, bows and hanger.
Work straight stitches using one strand of very fine braid.
Finishing Materials & Instructions
• 2"-long x 2"- diameter cardboard tube • 3 medium-size jingle bells
• 10 inches 1/8"-wide ribbon • Coordinating sewing thread seam allowance to 1/4" and turn right side out. Slide stitched piece over cardboard tube. Trim raw edges to 1" from stitching.
Gather top of stitched piece with a basting stitch approximately 3/4" from design and pull snug, folding excess fabric inside; tie off. Do the same with the bottom. Sew bells and ribbon on top, covering gathered area. Push center of gathered bottom portion up into the tube.
Finishing Materials & Instructions
• Fusible interfacing
• 4" square tan felt • Double-sided tape
• Narrow red ribbon
• Craft knife or sharp scissors
Fuse interfacing to back of stitched piece, following manufacturer’s instructions. Trim design to one square from edge of stitching all around.
Using trimmed design as template, cut felt to same size.
Cut desired length of ribbon for hanger.
Apply double-sided tape to back of stitched design. Remove paper cover from tape. Center and attach ends of ribbon at top of stitched design and adhere felt to back side of stitched piece, covering ribbon ends.
