Kick-start your FlossTube adventure with Chantelle Deimling and her fresh take on cross-stitch finishing.
Chantelle’s stitching journey began back in the 1980s, but like many of us, she put her hobby on hold as life’s other demands took precedence. In 2020, she rekindled her passion for needlework after stumbling upon the FlossTube community, which provided her with a source of inspiration during the isolating times of the pandemic.
It didn’t take long for this hobby from the past to become a passion and, literally, her future. At the time, Chantelle and her husband, Bryan, owned and operated 141 Design Company, an Etsy shop which specialized in custom furniture and laser-cut wood items. Chantelle has a knack for creative design and decorating, and many of her cross-stitched endeavors achieve home decor excellence thanks to the distinctive materials she discovers at her local craft shop, dollar store or thrift shop.
She quickly realized that her woodworking skills with a CNC router and laser cutter could fulfill a demand among fellow stitchers seeking inventive ways to complete their projects. This realization led to the establishment of her own brand, Chantelle’s 141 Design Company. Over these past three years her brand has grown exponentially to include a brick-and-mortar DIY cross-stitch finishing store and to hosting cross-stitch retreats and instructional classes.
As a source of inspiration for the stitching community, Chantelle began documenting her adventures and posting the journey on her YouTube channel, Chantelle Deimling -141 Design Company.
She shares her works in progress, favorite stitching materials, creative finishing concepts, and an abundance of other insights, all the while creating for you the sense of having a stitching companion right in the comfort of your home.
