Dorothy Kearney

Dorothy (Anderson) Kearney, 86, of Kane, passed away Thursday (June 23) at UPMCKANE. She was born on Oct. 9, 1935 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late William and Viola (Johnson) Marcillott. on March 10, 1956 in Kane, she married Leonard F. Anderson, who preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 1997.

On Feb. 19, 2000 in Green Cove Springs, FL, she married Milford Kearney, who preceded her in death on March 12, 2019. Mrs. Kearney was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary and was also a volunteer for the Lutheran Home at Kane.

She is survived by three children, Robin (Brian) Jordan of Kane, Steve (Ruth) Anderson of Kane and Tim (Ella) Anderson of Green Cove Springs, FL; nine grandchildren, Michele (Dennis) Snyder of Bradford, Shannon (Todd) Johnson of Ludlow, Mandy Anderson of Kane, Keith (Holli) Anderson of Kane, Tim Anderson of Moore, OK, Fred (Amber Thompson) Kelley of Kane, Cameron (Cassidy Barr) Jordan of Rochester, NY, Jason (Irene) Horn of Florida City, FL and Jessie (Kris) Horn of Idaho; twenty greatgrandchildren, three great great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Zuendell of Youngsville and Evangeline Roller of CA and several nieces in nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Hugh Roller, one granddaughter Jodi Colosi, one sister Kay Mohr and one brother, Frank Roller.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Kane Volunteer Fire Department.

Friends are invited to attend a visitation which will take place at the Cummings Funeral Home on Monday (June 27) from 11:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. A funeral ceremony will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. David Pflieger officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
