At the recent meeting of the Kane Area School District (KASD) Board of Directors, Superintendent

Jeannine Kloss extended heartfelt congratulations to the students whose work has been chosen for display at the St. Bonaventure Juried High School Art Show. Their artwork will grace the halls of the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts from April 9th to May 5th, showcasing their creativity and dedication to the arts.

The honored students include John Bell, Ada Chamberlain, Emmalyn Cunningham, Sara Ely, Francesca Ishman, Brooklynn James, Megan Jones, Aaron Mishic, and Anna Peterson.

Additionally, recognition was bestowed upon Mason Merry for receiving the Honorable Mention Award, and Max Smith for earning the Best in Show Award.

Smith and Bell had additional work juried into the Master & Grasshopper show at Mansfield University. Their paintings will be exhibited along with one of Cathy Sirianni’s at the Loomis Gallery from April 1st to April 26th.

“We extend our gratitude to Mrs. Sirianni for inspiring and guiding our students to these high levels of creativity,” Kloss expressed.

Kloss congratulated Aneyda Richards and

Margie Delong on their pending retirements. Delong has been in education for 30 years. Kloss said she has been a tremendous asset to KASD and has undoubtedly left a mark on her students’ lives that will be significant for years to come. She will be missed, Kloss added.

Furthermore, she said the KASD Health Expo will be held at the HS from 5-7 on 4/18. She asked that individuals join them and our community partners to learn about all the health and wellness resources Kane has to offer.

She took a moment to appreciate the KASD Team of Administrators. Month after month she tries to highlight some of the best moments in the district. This list is

seemingly getting longer and longer. It takes many dedicated and hardworking people to make these things happen, and she would add that this does not occur without strong leadership. "We have financial stability, buildings, and grounds to be proud of, top-notch technology and support, our special education department had a successful audit with it being noted that great strides have been made in recent years, and our buildings are busier than ever with students excelling in many different ways. Thank you, administrators, for the work you do. You are making a difference, and it is appreciated," she said.
