Thimblena Quilters

-

Thimblena Quilters have been busy during March and April.

Quilters continue to donate to the food pantry and a memorial was sent to Friends Memorial Library for Richard Buckley. A thank you note from Claire Ann was shared.

At the March 4th meeting, Shirley Bizzak demonstrated how to make hand sewn Cathedral Window blocks. On March 18th, members brought items for a “mini yard sale”. Proceeds from the yard sale will go into our fund for our next quilt.

On April 1st, Bonnie Walker demonstrated a jelly roll scrap block. On April 15th, quilters met early for a “hands on” class on paper piecing taught by Mary Starner. Quilters learned common errors of paper piecing then assembled their own block with directions from Mary. They turned out great!
