POULSBO - Phillip Glass of Poulsbo passed away on February 12, 2024 at the age of 80. Phil was born and raised in Seattle WA, where he graduated from the University of Washington with a BS Degree in Electrical Engineerin­g and Industrial Engineerin­g. Soon he found a job at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, where he worked for 30 years as a Nuclear Test Engineer.

Phil loved the mountains and forests of the Pacific Northwest where he could often be found hiking with famiy and friends. He also was an avid reader and loved to play bridge, most recently with the bridge players at the Village Green in Kingston. For forty years, Phil was an active member of St Charles Anglican Church, serving on the Vestry and many other capacities.

Phil is survived by his wife of 56 years, Robin . . . his children, daughter, Jenny Rebecca Glass, Grandson Marcos Phillip Glass, son, Michael Glass, (Jacque), and daughter Sarah Pauline Glass. Phil also is survived by three brothers and their families, Dave Glass, Steve Glass (Melinda) and Sidney Glass ( Holly). Phil shared his home with two exchange students, Nathalie Kaizer from Metz, France and Gerald Liebeton of Nuremberg, Germany.

For many years, Phil and Robin traveled the world, enjoying the cultures and sites along the way, but if you asked Phil, his favorite place in the whole world was his home in Vinland Poulsbo, sitting by his pond or overlookin­g beautiful Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains!

Remembranc­es can be made to St Charles Anglican Church or The Village Green, Kingston

A Memorial service and light reception will be held on May 8, 2024 at 11 AM at St Charles Anglican Church, 7625 Central Valley Rd NE Bremerton WA
