Mary Fritz

KNOXVILLE - Mary Ann Dagley Fritz, age 93 of Knoxville passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2023. Mary was the daughter of the late Ferris and Ethel Dagley of Grantsboro, TN. She was an active member of West Lonsdale Baptist Church for over 75 years where she participated in choir, WMU, senior adult ministry and shared her welcoming smile as a greeter. She retired from Vinylex Corporation as a supervisor with over 20 years of service. She also enjoyed over 20 years as an usher at the UT basketball games. Mary was preceded in death by beloved husband John W. Fritz; sisters Betty Hatmaker, Dot Roberts, Shirley Harper, Iva Pippin, Margaret Dagley; and brother Jerry Dagley. She is survived and will be deeply missed by son Greg Fritz and wife Susan; daughter Tammy Roberts and husband Sam; grandchildren Heather (Sam) Eilers, Caleb Fritz, Luke (Rexanna) Fritz, Haley (Joshua) Bilbrey, Haden Roberts; great-grandson Copeland Roberts; brother F.H. (Vivian) Dagley; brotherin-law Tom Fritz; sisters-in-law Charlotte Dagley, Pat Fritz; cousin who is like a sister Patsy Earl; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and extended family and friends in Campbell County. Also, special appreciation to the staff and friends at Autumn Care. Celebration of a Great Life Service will be at West Lonsdale Baptist Church on Friday, September 8th at 6:30pm, with Rev. Todd Halliburton officiating. Receiving of Friends will be prior beginning at 4:30pm. We will meet at Highland Memorial Cemetery on Saturday, September 9th for an 11:00am Graveside Service with Rev. Tim Earl officiating. Pallbearers will be Sam Eilers, Caleb Fritz, Joshua Bilbrey, Luke Fritz, Haden Roberts and Copeland Roberts.
