KNOXVILLE - Linda Arlene Warwick Corbitt, a beloved soul who graced this world with her kindness, love, and laughter, passed away on August 30, 2023, at the age of 80. Born on April 10, 1943, in Knoxville, TN, Linda’s life was a testament of dedication to her family, faith, and community. Linda found her forever home in the Sumner County area where she flourished for nearly five decades. She was married to the love of her life for 33 years, was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonv­ille for 46 years, retired from GE/Bosch after 27 years of service, and was a faithful contributo­r to the Humane Society of Sumner County. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Jim Warwick, her brother Ned Warwick, and her sister Nan (Hugh) Maples. She is survived by her loving husband, Calvin Corbitt, her sister Norma Cope, 2 children she loved as her own, Kenny (Andie) Corbitt and Jennifer (Mark) Woods, 3 grandchild­ren, 1 great-grandchild, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service will be held in her honor at First Baptist Church of Hendersonv­ille TN on September 21, 2023 from 12pm-2pm, with the service beginning at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society of Sumner County. Honorary pallbearer­s will be Kenny Corbitt, Andrew Corbitt, Drew Corbitt, Darren Shavers, Jacob Corbitt, and Rich Moctezuma. To know Linda was to know grace, beauty, warmth and compassion. She was a loving, kind, and devoted Wife, Mother, Mamaw, Sister, Aunt, and friend. We all feel her loss deeply but will carry the love she so freely gave with us forever.
