Judy Medley Pressley
KNOXVILLE - The Lord was ready for Judy Medley Pressley on September 6th, 2023. “I’ve Gone Home.” She graduated from Holston High School in 1966 and throughout her life she was employed at Standard Knitting Mill, Hamiliton National Bank, IBM, Pressley’s Insurance Service, and Karns Middle School. She enjoyed cooking Wednesday Night Dinner at Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Judy was preceded in death by husband, Dennie E. Pressley; parents, Ralph F. and Geneva G. Medley; brother Ralph Donald Medley; niece, Jennifer M. Medley Johnson; special dear friends, Frankie Simmons, Margaret “Boots” Coram, and Sharyn “Qtip” Santagata; and aunts and uncles. Those she is survived by are son, Jason E. Sutton; daughter, Sherri L. Pressley; grandson, Zachary McCrary (Hailey) and great grandchildren, Hudson and Henley; sister-in-law, Doris T. Medley; nephew, Ralph Donald Medley Jr.; UT Kickoff crew: Jason, Steve, Roy, John & Koolaid, Chip & Katie, Kooter & Cinnamon; The Orange Hat Club: Essie, Kim, Sheri, and Tammy; dear friends, Rebecca Young; Benna & Micheal Hudson, and Boston Terrier Lizzie. All these folks helped fill my heart with love, as well as many special neighbors, Marvani & Jerry Brannam, Manni & Greg Jordan, Bonnie & Matt Norman, Chase, Darlene, and Ted Underwood, and Rebecca Young, classmates, and church members. A Graveside Service will be held at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (5901 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919) on Friday, September 15th at 10:00am. Receiving of friends will be at Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church on Tuesday, September 19th from 6:00-7:00pm with a Celebration of Life service to follow, Rev. Larry Dial and Rev. Teresa A.
