Parker Luhn, age 78, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on March 23, 2024. He was born in Charleston, SC on May 11, 1945 and raised there, graduating from St. Andrews High School. He attended college and then law school at the University of South Carolina, receiving his J.D. in 1972. He was a co-founder of the law firm of Norton & Luhn in Knoxville, specializi­ng in corporate law.

He loved growing up in Charleston, regaling his family with stories of the beach and how they spent every afternoon and weekend on a boat. He continued his love of the water in Knoxville, spending weekends on the lakes, teaching his children to waterski and how to camp on a boat. He also loved the mountains, spending his time hiking and later at his cabin in Townsend, his favorite place to be. He suffered an accident in 2003, forcing him to retire but did give him plenty of time to travel, taking cruises around the world and hiking in New Zealand and Patagonia. He also loved his dogs and always seemed to have one at his side.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Dingle Luhn and Kathleen Warren Luhn, his brother Wesley “Dee” Luhn, sister-in-law Jan Luhn, and nephew Robert Luhn, Jr. He is survived by his 3 children, Gaelan Parker (Amber), David (Melody), and Amanda, and their mother, Jane MacKay Luhn. He is also survived by his 8 grandchild­ren who meant the world to him; Simon, Lindsay, Alexander, William, Piper, Reese, Celeste, and Asher. Other survivors include his brother and sister-in-law Robert and Debra, niece Jodie, and nephew Clifford (Micheline).

The family will receive friends at Rose Mortuary, 6200 Kingston Pike, on Monday, April 1 from 11am - 1pm. A funeral service will be held at a later date at his home church of Second Presbyteri­an in Charleston, SC.
