Victory gives food support to more than 100 Tulsa families
La iglesia Hispana Victory cuya visión es conectar a la gente con Dios equipándola con la palabra para demostrar su amor con poder para restaurar, servir y alcanzar a otros, se ha encontrado trabajando con el ministerio de entrega de comida durante los últimos meses y ha beneficiado a más de 100 familias.
Este ministerio encabezado por algunos de los líderes de la iglesia, entre ellos la Pastora Carmen Gil, consiste en crear despensas equilibradas que constan de una serie de alimentos enlatados, bebidas, frutas, verduras, pan, entre otros. Además, pone a la disposición de las familias un apoyo extra que consiste en el suministro de ropas.
Se trabaja principalmente los días jueves a las 12 del media día en las instalaciones de la iglesia, en el gimnasio de la misma, en donde se encuentran laborando alrededor de 45 voluntarios por la gran cantidad de personas que están acudiendo a recibir estos beneficios por parte de la iglesia.
“Si ofrecen su pan al hambriento, y ayudan a los que sufren, en la obscuridad como luz del mediodía” Isaías 58:10, es el eslogan de este importante ministerio.
El principal objetivo es poder brindar apoyo a las familias de Tulsa que más lo necesitan, y darles a conocer el mensaje de la palabra de Dios.
Cabe mencionar que el número de familias que se benefician del ministerio ha ido en aumento considerable en las últimas semanas, pero la Iglesia Hispana Victory sigue extendiendo la invitación y abriendo sus puertas para que más familias puedan participar de este beneficio.
Los servicios que la iglesia lleva a cabo son los Domingos de 9:00am y 11:00 am, contando también con Iglesia para niños, Música y Predicación en vivo, Traducción simultánea al inglés a las 11:00am, Servicio de Jóvenes 11:00am y Servicio Bilingüe 6:00pm también con Iglesia para niños.
La entrega de alimentos se realiza los días jueves a las 12:00 pm hasta llegar a la capacidad del día en las instalaciones de la iglesia ubicada en el 10811 E 41st St, Tulsa, OK 74146. La Semana. ENGLISH Victory Hispanic Church has been working for many years to connect the Hispanic community with the beloved gospel while serving others with love, and now has a new mission, distributing food among those in need around Tulsa. The ministry is currently serving more than 100 needy families.
The initiative is led by Pastor Carmen Gil, who came up with the idea of creating a small food bank stocked with canned food, fruits, veggies and bread in order to help those in despair.
45 volunteers gather at the church’s gym every Thursday at noon and distribute the food and other donations to those in need.
The volunteers say they draw inspiration from scripture:
“And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday”, Isaiah 58:10, which is the slogan of Victory.
The main goal of the mission is to bring comfort to the Tulsan families while spreading the words of the Lord.
Over the last few months the number of families benefitting by the victory’s charitable efforts has dramatically increased, and Victory keeps on helping, asking for more volunteers and donations to improve the quality life of needy Tulsans.
Services at Victory are held Sundays at 9 am and 11 am, with live music, bible studies for kids and adults and featuring simultaneous translation during the 11 am service. Victory encourages the young to participate in the 11 am services and those with language issues to attend the 6 pm bilingual service.
The food delivery takes place in the church every Thursday from 9 am until food runs out. The church is located at 10811 E 41st Street in Tulsa. (La Semana)
