ENGLISH
Every year Festival Americas brings to the city the richness of the Latin American cultures in the form of a family festival full of sound, colors and tastes.
This year the multicultural festival will include a street market with different creative and artistic offerings for all the family, live music, and all sorts of traditional dishes from Argentina up to Mexico.
The festival will be celebrated at the Guthrie Green downtown, and will run from 4:00 pm until 10:00 p.m.
This year’s entertainment includes Ballet Folklorico Toanitiuh, Escaramuza Las Canelitas – a group that comes directly from Monterrey, Nuevo León – and much, much more.
During the day all the participants have the opportunity to win prizes in raffles and enjoy recreational activities for the kids. Latin rhythms take over at night, so start practicing your dance moves.
The festival is part of the Summer Events of the City of Tulsa and celebrates the independence of many Latin American countries, while honoring the Hispanic diversity that has deep roots in Tulsa.
All the money raised during the event will support to he Hispanic Education Fund, a fund that helps local Hispanics to be able to afford higher education and keep on dreaming. (La Semana)
