Left lane restrictions to take effect in November

Durante esta semana se dio a conocer sobre nuevos cambios que serán implementados en las leyes de tráfico para el estado de Oklahoma, los cuales entraran en vigencia a partir de noviembre del 2017, y estos incluyen lo siguiente.

Será obligatorio en todas las autopistas de estado de Oklahoma usar el carril izquierdo únicamente para rebasar.

Y para reforzar este cambio desde el primero de noviembre podremos ver letreros a lado de las misas autopista con las leyenda ¨DO NOT IMPEDE LEFT LANE¨ (No impida la ruta de la izquierda).

Seguir circulando por el carril izquierdo estará prohibido y la policía podrá detener a quien infrinja esto, y la multa esta estimada en más de 200 dólares, agregando una sanción extra si el conductor no cuenta con una licencia de conducir vigente y valida por el estado de Oklahoma.

Para la circulación por las calles, se indico que todo seguirá igual, lo que se busca con este cambio es agilizar un poco mas la fluidez del trafico en las autopistas y evitar así menos accidentes al conducir. (La Semana)

State officials informed the public this week that new left lane driving restrictions will take effect in November if this year.

The new restrictions, which will go into effect on November 1, 2017, state that a vehicle may not be driven in the left lane except when overtaking and passing another vehicle, other than in situations where traffic conditions or road configurations require the use of the left-hand lane in order to maintain safe traffic conditions.

If the new law is violated drivers might face a $200 ticket, plus other amounts for not having a valid drivers license recognized by the state of Oklahoma.

In order to enforce the change from November the 1st drivers will be able to see signs on every highway that will read: “DO NOT IMPEDE LEFT LANE.”

The law applies only to highways, and is meant to speed up the traffic flow and avoid incidents while ensuring public safety. (La Semana)
