Only 500 vacancies for Pre-K

Tulsa, Oklahoma. – Tulsa Public Schools (TPS) encourages the parents of the Tulsa community to enroll their children in pre-k school, a full day education service offered completely free of charge for more than 500 students across Tulsa County.

“Without question we can assert that pre-k education has a huge impact on the life of a child,” said Superintendent Deborah A. Gist. “Those students who go to pre-k school have more possibilities of developing full reading skills when arriving to 3rd grade, managing mathematical knowledge in the intermediate years and eventually graduating from high school.”

“The Tulsa community is lucky to have one of the best pre-kinder programs of the country,” Gist added. “I want to encourage all those parents with kids ages 3 and 4 to contact us and find information on what’s best for their families.”

All those kids who turn 4 years old before September the 1st 2017 can be enrolled in pre-k.
